There are 4 essential steps in record production:

(REMEMBER, I OFFER FREE SINGLES TO FIRST TIME BANDS!)

1. Preproduction - Free

PreProduction is all about getting me FAMILIAR with your songs and vision. I take notes about tempo, time signatures, instrumentation, vocal style, and guitar tone. We also discus your inspiration and your goals for your music. This step takes a day regardless of project size.

2. tracking - $30/hr

the Tracking step is when you actually perform your songs into microphones. I have an extensive collection of equipment to pull dynamite tones out of your instruments and voices. It usually takes about 2 hours of tracking per minute of song.

3. Mixing - $30/hr

mixing is where I flex my technical muscles. I apply equalization, compression, reverb, delay, and balance all of the layers we recorded in the tracking step. it usually takes one hour of mixing per minute of song.

4. Mastering - $50/song

During this final step, we decide on song order, transition time between songs, and I make sure your final product is loud enough for radio play. Mastering a project of any size usually takes less than one day. If i'm mixing your songs, mastering is included for free.

what studios do i work from?

I have a few different options for bands, depending on the size of their project and their budget.

1. maple shade studios

$50/Day or $30/half Day

This is my private studio in Seatac. It features a Vintage 1984 British Tracking Console, Protools HD, and a killer mic collection.

2. Robert Lang Studios

$500/Day

This legendary studio has seen thousands of bands in the 40+ years it's been around, including Nirvana, The Foo Fighters, Soundgarden, Pearl Jam, Alice in Chains, Mastodon, Dave Mathews, Peter Frampton, and many more. It has a mixing board worth more than most people's houses, and mics worth more than most people's cars. If you want a once in a lifetime experience and your have a bigger budget, this place is Heaven on Earth. I recommend taking one day to track drums here.

3. Mobile on-site recording

$20/day

If you really like working from home or your practice space, I can come to you! I recommend recording drums in a studio with an acoustically tuned live room, such as my private studio, or Robert Lang Studios, but if you're on a tight budget, this is a nice alternative.

Payment and Timeframes

Once I give you a cost estimate for a project, I require 50% of that cost up front to begin the project. The other 50% is paid once the project is completed.

I take cash, Checks, Cards, or paypal.

If you are unhappy with the finished project, I offer a full refund (With a few exceptions.)

Don't forget that I offer free singles to first time bands!
